May I ask a question please? My Kefir grains are about 5 weeks old and growing but not much carbonation. Tried making it warmer and that didn’t help much. My question is after the grains have fermented and you are ready to put it in bottles; is the liquid you pour off already carbonated showing bubbles? Also, when you were outside there is a hum/beep major almost impossible to concentrate on what you are saying.

I'm so glad things are going well so far! Re: the muscle loss (sarcopenia), I know you are aware we need more protein as we age. Well, probably double or triple that for cancer pts during treatment! If you (Jim) are doing weight training and not building muscle? I'm thinking you are lacking in the amino acids required. And guess what? Plant protein wont cut it. Not enough- not all the right types of essential fatty acids. Even my vegetarian neighbor, currently undergoing tx for breast cancer started eating fish, then added chicken, and now beef, as directed by her care team. Best wishes to you both!

You two are amazing, you go through so much but you just keep going and even help your family fix their house and yard! I love that you are still growing even without the homestead.

Sorry to hear about your cancers. I'm glad you're getting that quality time with family. I'm just finishing chemo/radiation myself . My cancer hit my family hard also. I also had to learn to slow down. Don't be too hard on yourself, it will all come back, muscle and strength s. I'm still working on it. My surgery was Jan 2. So far so good. You're working hard at exercise and not seeing the results you would previously have seen, but you are far ahead of where you would be if you were sitting around feeling sorry for yourself. Praise the Lord! I too am working hard at fitness and for a long time I had to be content that I was at least not losing ground (there have been some temporary setbacks due to illness or injury). Now I'm starting to see some progress at the age of 72.

Love to see u guys on again.. but please Renda, PLEASE stop interrupting Jim when he’s talking.. it’s a rude habit but if u try hard u can break it.. it shows u think Jim is not capable of explaining things properly.. that’s so anoying for ur subscribers.. you’ll get ur turn!

God bless you both and yes you are right the trials that we are going through because of this cancers I am blessed God has blessed me he has put all the heads of all the departments as my doctors and unfortunately last week I'm not able to walk a long distance with the Walker anymore but I'm not giving up but a brotherhood I belong to I had asked about getting a loan from one of them to buy an electric wheelchair because the left arm doesn't work too good anymore with the tumor to use a regular wheelchair I got a phone call from the president of the brotherhood and he said don't worry about it brother send us the information and we will get the wheelchair for you because you have been a great brother again I'm blessed I'm blessed I'm blessed I'm blessed even though Jim I know about the weaknesses yesterday I couldn't get out of my recliner I was so weak but then today I'm walking around like it's nothing again I'm blessed. As always I will pray for you and you pray for me. Peace

You might want to look into bouncing on a mini trampoline for a few minutes everyday. It flushes your lymphatic system and helps your immune system. Also, fever baths and/or hot cold water therapy. It keeps your immune system in tip top shape.❤

Sourdough einkorn flour crackers are soooooo expensive! I have the whole einkorn flour and plan to make them at home. Will go all out with the seasonings - seeds, cheese, spices, herbs n all! Thank you for the recipe. Can’t wait to munch the crunch!!!

I recently had 3 days of MOHS surgery to remove three sites of squamous cell cancer. I also had no pain, but the healing process was grueling. One of the days I was there for 6 hours. I am glad yours wasn’t so complicated.
